Where is my data stored?
All of your quotes, milestones, and kid profiles are stored in your personal iCloud account — specifically in iCloud Drive under a folder called Kidisms. Your data never passes through our servers.
If iCloud isn't available, the app falls back to local storage on your device.
How do I share quotes with my partner?
Go to Settings → Family Sharing and follow the setup steps. Kidisms creates a shared folder in your iCloud Drive that you can share with your partner using the Files app. Once set up, both of you can add and view quotes in real time from your own devices.
The widget isn't showing any quotes.
First, make sure you've added at least one quote in the app. Then try removing the widget from your home screen and adding it back — this forces a fresh data fetch.
If it still shows empty, open the app and add or edit any quote, then wait a minute or two for the widget to refresh.
How do I back up my data?
Go to Settings → Export & Backup. You can export your full quote collection as a CSV, JSON, plain text, Excel, or formatted Word document and save it anywhere you like.
Your data is also automatically backed up as part of your iCloud account.
How do I delete all my data?
To remove data from the app, delete individual quotes or kids from within the app. To remove everything, open the Files app, navigate to iCloud Drive → Kidisms, and delete the folder. Then delete the app from your device.
Can I use Kidisms on multiple devices?
Yes. As long as you're signed into the same Apple ID, your quotes sync automatically across all your devices via iCloud.
How do I customize the tags/categories?
Go to Settings → Tags → Customize Tags. You can add your own tags, reorder them, delete ones you don't use, and restore the defaults at any time.
I accidentally deleted a quote. Can I get it back?
Unfortunately, deleted quotes can't be recovered from within the app. If you have a recent export saved (Settings → Export & Backup), you may be able to find the quote there.
